Two men were hospitalized with serious injuries after a shooting in Pelican Narrows on Saturday morning.
According to the Saskatchewan RCMP, officers were called to a home on Highway 135 in the northern community at around 5 a.m. after getting a report about a shooting.

“Investigation determined that multiple individuals riding two ATVs approached a group of people outside a residence on Highway #135,” the Mounties said in a statement.
“At least one of the individuals on the ATVs was armed with a firearm and discharged it towards the group near the residence. The individuals on the ATVs then left the scene.”
Police said both injured men were hospitalized after the shooting. While their injuries were serious, they were not considered to be life-threatening, police noted.
“It was reported to Pelican Narrows RCMP that one of the ATVs was red in colour, and the other ATV was green with a camouflage pattern,” the RCMP added.
“The individuals riding the ATVs were wearing dark-coloured clothing and face coverings at the time of the incident.”
Anyone with information that could help the investigation, or who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area on May 2, was asked to contact police or make a report anonymously through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
