Police in Saskatoon say the death of a 77-year-old woman is being investigated as a homicide.
According to police, officers got a report about an injured person on the 200 block of Avenue R South, adjacent to St. Paul’s Hospital in the city’s Pleasant Hill neighbourhood, at around 10 p.m. on Sunday.

“Upon arrival, officers located a deceased 77-year-old woman inside the residence,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement.
“Members of the Major Crime Section and Forensic Identification Section are continuing to investigate.”
Police said the death marks the city’s seventh homicide case of the year, and asked anyone with information that could help the investigation to contact police or make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers.
