On Tuesday afternoon, families with students at a North Battleford high school were notified of an emergency lockdown happening at the school.
The lockdown at North Battleford Comprehensive High School began around 3:20 p.m. and delayed the end-of-day dismissal for students, but has since ended, according to police.
Battlefords RCMP are on site at the school and are individually clearing the building one class at a time. Families are reminded that this process could delay students leaving the school.

In a release on Tuesday afternoon, Mounties said a report of a suspicious person came in around 3:30 p.m. on March 17. The person was believed to be armed with a gun near North Battleford Comprehensive High School in North Battleford, Sask.
A school liason officer was already at the school when the report came in, according to RCMP, and the school activated its lockdown procedures when the call came in.
Police said the lockdown has been lifted and police assisted with the safe release of students from the school. Officers are in the area, still, conducting patrols.
The suspicious person is described as a man wearing a white hoodie and black pants who could be carrying a firearm. He was last seen in the 17th Avenue area near 103rd Street and 104th Street in North Battleford.
Anyone with possible information about a man who could match this description is asked to report it to police at 310-RCMP. The public will be notified if there is an imminent risk to public safety, police said in the release.
