Walter Murray Collegiate was locked down briefly Monday morning after a report that shots had been fired in the area of the school on Preston Avenue South.
Saskatoon Public Schools called and sent text messages to parents to indicate there was a safety concern at the school, but didn’t specify what that concern was.
The Saskatoon Police Service subsequently issued a release saying it had investigated a report of shots being fired in the area of the 1500 block of Preston Avenue South, just north of the school.
Police said they searched the area, but didn’t find anyone or anything connected to the incident.
