RCMP have found a man wanted in a second-degree murder investigation.
Lloydminster police were searching for 40-year-old Randy Lysohirka after a Sept. 21 shooting on 50 Avenue. The incident left 22-year-old Nolan Whitestone dead at the scene.
Following Whitestone’s death, police issued a warrant for Lysohirka’s arrest.

According to an RCMP release, the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit found Lysohirka at a rural home outside Maidstone through investigation and tips.
“Saskatchewan RCMP’s Maidstone Detachment and Lloydminster Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Team formed an arrest plan,” the release stated.
Police arrested Lysohirka at the home on Sept. 23 without incident. His court details are still being determined.
He faces a second-degree murder charge.
