The suspect in a 2022 manslaughter case in North Battleford was arrested in Saskatoon on Saturday.
According to the RCMP, 34-year-old Nolan Bird was charged in connection with the death of 61-year-old David Lapointe, who was found dead at a house in North Battleford on March 13, 2022.

Bird was arrested by the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team, which was introduced in 2021 with the goal of arresting high-risk offenders who were wanted on warrants.
According to the RCMP, Bird was to make his first appearance in court on Monday.
