A teen killer has been sentenced to two-and-a-half years after a man was found dead in a shed in Punnichy.
In June 2015, 43-year-old Clayton Cyr’s body was found in the community, located about 125 kilometres north of Regina.
A 16-year-old boy was originally charged with second-degree murder.
On Wednesday, the now 18-year-old was given a two-and-a-half year sentence which breaks down to one-year in secure custody, six months in open custody and a one-year conditional sentence.
The teen pleaded guilty to manslaughter in December. Because he was underage at the time, there is a publication ban on his name.
