Two teens have been charged after two Saskatoon schools were broken into and damaged over the weekend.
According to Saskatoon police, three people were seen running from Vincent Massey Community School on Northumberland Avenue around 11:50 p.m. on April 16.
Significant damage was done to the inside of the building.
Police said officers received another call of a break-and-enter, this time at Confederation Park Community School on John A MacDonald Road.
Three people were seen breaking a window to get inside the building. Once officers arrived, the suspects reportedly fled.
The Saskatoon police airplane was able to find the group on Tupper Crescent and direct ground officers to make arrests.
As a result of the investigation, and items found on the suspects, police believe the same people were involved in the Vincent Massey break-in.
Two girls, 17 and 13, are each facing two charges of break and enter and two charges of mischief over $5,000.
The 13-year-old is also charged with two counts of breaching court orders.
The third youth, a 10-year-old boy, has not been charged.
This investigation is continuing with the assistance of the school resource officers.
