A 9-year-old Moose Jaw boy, whose already endured a lifetime of hospital visits, got to forget about his health issues for one day in Saskatoon.
Cohyn Wells was made an honorary player for the Saskatchewan Rush during their tilt Saturday against the Toronto Rock at Sask Tel Centre.
As part of his one-day contract with the pro lacrosse team, Cohyn received the full team treatment, complete with own locker stall, jersey and equipment.
Coyn, who was born with spina bifida is coming off this fifteenth surgery. His first surgery took place when he was less than a day old.
In September, Cohyn was selected as the Saskatchewan representative for the Children’s Miracle Network’s Champion Program. Cohyn acts as the ambassador for the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan at events across North America.
