People in Regina will get a better idea of where the city stands on economic, infrastructure and a number of other issues during the 49th Annual State of the City Address Thursday.
Mayor Michael Fougere will address several hundred at the Queensbury Convention Centre at Evraz Place during the noon hour, part of a yearly speech that goes over issues and opportunities facing the city.
In his 2015 speech, he mentioned how Regina was on a roll, calling the Queen City remarkably strong. He highlighted major projects getting the green light such as the new Mosaic Stadium and wastewater treatment plant.
There’s no doubt that kind of infrastructure will remain top of mind this year.
Fougere will also touch on where the city is headed in the future — that is, until at least the fall when a civic election will be held for the first time since 2012.
