Another Saskatoon school has a COVID-19 case.
According to Saskatoon Public Schools, Chief Whitecap School had an individual test positive for COVID-19 on Friday. The Saskatchewan Health Association is conducting the contact tracing investigation.
The division told 650 CKOM that classes are continuing at the school. Chief Whitecap School is connected to the Preston Early Learning Centre’s Stonebridge location, which closed its doors last Monday due to a COVID-19 outbreak.
It had a staff member or child test positive Monday, closing the daycare temporarily. An additional two cases were reported last Wednesday, keeping the facility closed for two weeks.
All staff and children at the daycare from Sept. 22 to Sept. 25 were sent home to isolate and monitor for symptoms for 14 days since they were considered close contacts.
The daycare is remaining closed until Friday.
