A 36-year-old Saskatoon man is facing a dangerous driving charge after a crash at the bottom of the Broadway Bridge left a motorcyclist injured Sunday afternoon.
According to police, officers were called to the scene of the crash on 19th Street East at around 4 p.m., where they found the 28-year-old motorcyclist receiving help from bystanders. The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and police noted that their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

The driver of the car was not injured, but police said the crash happened shortly after an argument between the two drivers.
“Police learned from witnesses that a verbal altercation had occurred between the two drivers while stopped at a traffic light at 12th Street East and Broadway Avenue and was followed by the collision a few blocks later,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement.
“The 36-year-old driver of the sedan is charged with Dangerous Driving. He is scheduled to appear in court on November 18th.”
Woman hospitalized after stabbing in Riversdale
A stabbing Friday afternoon left a 34-year-old woman with several wounds, according to police.
Members of the Saskatoon Police Service’s Serious Assault Unit responded to a report of an injured person in the 300 block of Avenue C South at about 2:20 p.m.
The woman was taken to hospital for treatment. Anyone with information on the incident was asked to contact Saskatoon police or Saskatoon Crime Stoppers.
Saskatoon police investigate two 33rd Street robberies
Police responded to two robbery calls within minutes of each other on 33rd Street on Saturday night.
In the first case, police were called to a business in the 1600 block of 33rd Street West, where staff members reported two men stole products and made threats of violence before fleeing.
A few minutes later, police received a report that a man was threatened with a gun and robbed while walking near 33rd Street West and Westview Place.
According to police, “The first male is described as wearing a red hat, a black and grey Adidas track suit, black shoes and a blue t-shirt. The second male was wearing a Canada Goose toque, a black Nike vest, black shoes, pants and hoodie.”
