Rosthern RCMP are investigating after a suspected explosive device was reported at a business on Beardy’s & Okemasis Cree Nation on Wednesday.
The RCMP’s Explosive Disposal Unit assisted with the investigation, while the business and nearby residences were evacuated and traffic was directed away from the area, RCMP said.

The investigation revealed the device did not contain any explosive material. Rosthern RCMP are continuing their investigation and attempting to identify suspects.
They are asking anyone with information, or anyone with dashcam or surveillance footage of suspicious activity in the area, to contact them or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
