A 22-year-old man from Blaine Lake is facing a charge of impaired driving causing death after a crash that left a teen girl dead on Saturday.
According to police, officers were called to the scene of the two-vehicle crash on Highway 12, near the community of Hepburn, at around 10:10 p.m.

The RCMP said a truck and an SUV collided. The driver of the SUV, a 16-year-old girl from Shellbrook, was declared dead at the scene. Her family has been notified of the death.
A passenger in the SUV was also hospitalized with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Meanwhile, the driver and sole occupant of the truck, 22-year-old Riley Farthing, was arrested and taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, the RCMP said. Farthing has since been charged with impaired driving causing death, and police said he appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Monday morning.
“Rosthern RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist,” the RCMP noted.
