Three business thefts in three days spark Kindersley RCMP investigation

Kindersley RCMP are investigating several business thefts reported across the detachment area since Sept. 1.

Police believe the incidents, which occurred in Kindersley, Eatonia and Eston, may be connected.

Police were called to a business on 11th Avenue East in Kindersley at about 8:40 p.m. on Sept. 1. According to RCMP, three people attempted to leave the business with a significant amount of unpaid merchandise.

An employee approached them as they were leaving, prompting the group to flee the store. The merchandise was left behind.

The following day, at about 3:25 p.m., police received a report of a theft at a business on Railway Avenue East in Eatonia. RCMP say three people entered the business and stole several handheld tools.

A third theft was reported at about 6:50 p.m. on Sept. 3 at a business on Railway Avenue Southeast in Eston. Police say a trailer and side-by-side were stolen from the business.

Based on evidence gathered so far, investigators believe the three incidents may be connected.

The suspects are believed to be two men and a woman, all described as being in their late teens or 20s.

At the time of the Sept. 2 theft in Eatonia, one man was wearing blue jeans and an orange-and-green camouflage-patterned Zoo York hoodie. The second man was wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie with a graphic on the front, a tan-coloured jacket and a black hat.

The woman was wearing a black tank top, black leggings and dark-coloured sneakers.

Police believe the suspects may be travelling in a 2015 GMC Sierra crew-cab truck. The vehicle appears to have a generator in the box. A photo of the truck was obtained as part of the Sept. 2 investigation.

The suspects and the GMC Sierra have not been located.
