“Voula Colbow, Town Clerk, has been appointed Acting Town Manager during this time.”
The town said no other information is being shared in order to respect confidentiality and privacy.
“The leave is an interim step and should not be taken as a finding of wrongdoing or as any conclusion having been reached,” the town noted.
A closed session of council was held late on Tuesday afternoon to discuss a “confidential personnel matter,” the town’s website indicates.
Audette had held the role since September of 2021. He was previously the chief administrative officer for the Village of Bethune and R.M. of Dufferin.
