A body has been located along the South Saskatchewan River, according to Saskatoon police.
Officers responded to Sturgeon Drive and Spadina Crescent East around 9 a.m. on Friday morning after getting a report that there was a body in the river.

“An unidentified male was located upon officer arrival,” police stated in a news release.
Saskatoon police’s major crimes and missing persons units are working on confirming the identity of the man and his cause of death.
Anyone who might have information that could assist in the case is being asked to contact Saskatoon police or Crime Stoppers.
Man stabbed in Fairhaven
A stabbing early Thursday morning led to police being called to the 3300 block of Fairlight Drive for a report of an injured person.
When officers arrived, they found a 26-year-old man who had been stabbed, according to a police release.
“Through investigation, officers learned that a confrontation had occurred between two parties outside of a business before the victim was stabbed and the suspects fled,” police stated.
Saskatoon police said members of its serious assault unit are still investigating.
