Police in Saskatoon say a 26-year-old man was seriously injured in a machete attack on Sunday night.
According to police, officers were called to a robbery in progress outside a business on Idylwyld Drive North shortly before 9 p.m. after getting a report saying two suspects had assaulted and robbed a male victim before fleeing.

“Upon police arrival, officers located a 26-year-old man with what were believed to be serious injuries consistent with an assault with a weapon,” the police force said in a statement.
“Officers provided medical care until paramedics arrived and transported the man to hospital.”
Police said one of the male suspects was wearing a black camouflage hoodie, blue jeans, black and white Nike shoes and gold chains at the time of the alleged robbery, while the other suspect was wearing a green camouflage hoodie, black pants and dark-coloured shoes.
