A 35-year-old man from Redvers who founded and led the now-defunct Canadian Nationalist Party has been charged with willfully promoting hatred – again.
According to the Saskatchewan RCMP, Travis Patron was arrested in Carlyle on April 10 after an investigation determined that content posted in a public online forum was found to be “wilfully promoting hatred against an identifiable group.”
The RCMP did not say which group was allegedly targeted.

Police said Patron was charged after consulting with Crown prosecutors. He’s scheduled to appear in court in Carlyle next month.
This won’t be Patron’s first time appearing before a judge. In 2022, he was found guilty of the same charge –wilful promotion of hatred – after posting an anti-Semitic video titled, “Beware the Parasitic Tribe” online in 2019. Patron, who represented himself during the jury trial, was ultimately handed a one-year sentence.
In August of 2022, Patron was sentenced to 18 months behind bars after he was found guilty of two counts of assault causing bodily harm in Regina. He was previously charged with impersonating a peace officer and harassment following alleged incidents in Saskatoon in 2023. He was also accused of trespassing on the University of Saskatchewan’s campus, leading to a memo warning staff to call security with any reported sightings.
Patron ran for the nationalist party that he founded in Souris-Moose Mountain riding in the 2019 federal election, finishing last among the riding’s candidates with 168 votes. He ran in the same riding as an independent candidate in 2025, finishing once last again with the support of 157 voters.
