On Thursday, the food bank announced a pledge from the potash supplier to match all community donations up to $50,000 during the food bank’s fourth annual formula campaign this month.

“We understand the unique nutritional needs of growing children and the challenges families face in providing formula,” Laurie O’Connor, the food bank’s executive director, said in a statement.
“This campaign is a lifeline for many families in our community, especially as demand continues to rise.”
The food bank said donations to the campaign play a critical role in helping to ensure the city’s youngest residents can get the nutrition they need.
“Together with Canpotex, your support can help double the impact and make a lasting difference for families in need,” the food bank said in a statement.
Donations can be made online or in person at the food bank on Avenue C South.
“Formula donations are also accepted and will go directly into the hands of families who need them most,” the food bank added.
