Edmonton police seek missing father, two children, who may be in Sask.

The Edmonton Police Service is asking for help finding a missing father and his two children who police believe may be travelling in Saskatchewan, possibly with another unknown man.

According to Edmonton police, officers have been searching for 42-year-old Scot MacDermid, his nine-year-old daughter, Lesley, and his six-year-old son, George, since Sept. 8.

“Scot MacDermid has been unreachable, and he and his children have not been seen or heard from since Aug. 28. As a result, police are concerned for their welfare,” Edmonton police said in a statement.

Police said the three were seen in Lloydminster with the unknown man on Aug. 28 at about 6:30 p.m.

It isn’t known where the group was travelling, but investigators say they “may have been seen in Saskatchewan or Manitoba.”

Scot MacDermid was described as 5-foot-5 and approximately 160 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information about the three missing family members or the unknown man who was seen with them in Lloydminster is asked to contact the Edmonton Police Service or the Saskatchewan RCMP.
