The City of Saskatoon is advising that daily work on Eighth Street will begin on on Saturday and last for about a week.
Between Saturday and Sept. 18, phases of work to resurface Eighth Street between McKercher Drive and Boychuk Drive will happen from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Two-way traffic will be maintained in an available lane during each phase of construction, though the city is asking drivers to expect lane restrictions and delays.
The city listed its planned schedule to help drivers anticipate potential delays.
On Saturday, the north side of the McKercher Dr. intersection will be impacted. From Sunday to Monday, resurfacing will happen on Eighth St. westbound between Boychuk Drive and McKercher Dr.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the work will impact Eighth St. eastbound between the Wildwood Golf Course entrance and Boychuk Drive. Then, the eastbound curb lane from McKercher Drive to just past the golf course entrance will be resurfaced on Thursday.
On Friday, the city expects the median and centre eastbound lanes from McKercher Dr. to just past the entrance to the Wildwood Golf Course to be completed.
After this construction, the city said additional resurfacing work is expected to resume one week after Friday.
“Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, follow posted signage and use caution when travelling through the work zone,” the city said in a statement.
Patching work means road restrictions on Circle Drive this weekend
Meanwhile, the city says road patching work on Circle Drive South will begin at 7 a.m. on Saturday in the westbound centre and curb lanes, near the Idylwyld Drive South overpass.
One lane will remain open to traffic during the work, the city noted.
“Road patching will continue Sunday, September 13 on Circle Drive S curb lane from Lorne Avenue on ramp to the Gordie Howe Bridge,” the city said in a statement. “Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists around the area.”
The road restrictions will be in place from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, the city said, barring any issues with weather or other unforeseen issues.
