A few major roads in Saskatoon will see closures over the weekend to allow for construction projects.
According to the City of Saskatoon, the eastbound lanes of 33rd Street West will be closed between Circle Drive West and Avenue P North to make way for road resurfacing. That closure runs from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and the city noted that two-way traffic will be maintained in the westbound lanes during the resurfacing project.

Spadina Crescent will be closed under the Broadway Bridge, from 20th Street East to Victoria Avenue for road work on Saturday and Sunday, with the closure running from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
Saturday will also see the closure of the roundabout at Vic Boulevard and Hunter Road for paving work, with the closure to start at 6 a.m. and end at 5 p.m.
Finally, the city said Ruth Street will be closed on Sunday between Lorne Avenue and St. George Avenue while workers complete fire hydrant replacement. That closure runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“Closure end times are weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances,” the City of Saskatoon noted in a statement.
The city said Saskatoon Transit routes may be affected by the road closures, and encouraged riders to check service alerts and third-party apps for the latest updates.
