Officers learned how three children were playing soccer in a park when a man joined them.
A short time later, the man came towards one of the kids, a nine-year-old boy. The boy tried riding away on his bike, but the man chased him down and struck him.
By the time police arrived, the suspect had already fled the scene.
According to a release, Saskatoon police are now looking for a man roughly six feet tall with a shaved head, who was seen wearing a green shirt and dark pants that evening.
