Five people injured, three seriously, in pair of crashes near Warman

Five people were injured, three of them suffering life-threatening injuries, in two separate crashes near Warman on Wednesday.

According to Warman Fire Rescue, emergency crews were first called to the intersection of Centennial Boulevard and Highway 305 at about 2 p.m.

The fire department said one vehicle was T-boned by another. Two people inside one of the vehicles suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while two people in the other vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries. One person was airlifted to hospital by a STARS helicopter.

The Warman fire department confirmed the two vehicles were both Dodge Caravans. One of the vehicles had six occupants, RCMP reported.

At about the same time, first responders were also called to an ATV rollover near Central Street at Warman’s south entrance.

The operator of the ATV suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash.

“Our thoughts and prayers for all the families involved,” Warman Fire Rescue said in a social media post.

The RCMP is investigating both crashes.

Semi and RV collide near Martensville

On Wednesday, a crash at Highway 12 and Lutheran Road involving a semi and an RV was also reported.

Martensville fire department chief Dean Brooman said firefighters responded to the scene at 4:41 p.m., alongside the RCMP and Medavie.

Brooman said there were no serious injuries from the crash, but one person was taken to hospital.
