Police are investigating after the death of a two-month-old girl in Prince Albert.
According to the Prince Albert Police Service, officers responded to a home in the 600 block of 19th Street West on June 21 at 11 a.m. to assist Parkland Ambulance, who was responding to a report of an unconscious two-month-old girl.

“On arrival, paramedics performed life saving efforts on the infant and transported her to the Victoria Hospital,” police said in a release.
The infant was taken to Saskatoon for further care at the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital on June 21. At the time, she was stable condition.
However, on June 30, police said the baby passed away in hospital.
An autopsy is scheduled for Thur, July 2. Police said its major crimes unit and forensic identification section are investigating with help from the Saskatoon Police Service’s forensic identification section and the Coroner’s Office.
“Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses,” police said.
