A three-vehicle parking lot collision in Prince Albert has police there warning drivers to drive safely, especially in the warmer months.
The collision happened in the Art Hauser Centre parking lot on Thursday, around 6:20 p.m., in the south parking lot adjacent to Sixth Avenue East.
A white sedan was seen there with “significant front-end damage,” according to Prince Albert police in a statement.

“Two parked vehicles also sustained substantial damage as a result of the collision. All three vehicles were not driveable and had to be towed from the scene,” police reported.
Police said its investigation found the white sedan driver had been travelling “at a high rate of speed” through the parking lot when they lost control of the car while trying to turn. The vehicle hit the two parked vehicles.
One person seated in one of the parked vehicles when the collision happened sustained minor injuries, police said. They were assessed by Parkland Ambulance at the scene. There were no serious injuries reported.
The driver of the white sedan was ticketed for driving without due care and attention under The Traffic Safety Act.
“As warmer weather is now here and more residents gather in parking lots, recreational areas, and public spaces, the Prince Albert Police Service is reminding drivers to operate their vehicles safely and responsibly,” the release stated. “Excessive speed, careless driving, and dangerous maneuvers in parking lots place our community at significant risk.”
Prince Albert police said officers will continue to “proactively monitor and enforce traffic safety concerns” through the summer in the interest of public safety.
