Police in Saskatoon say a 15-year-old boy is facing charges in connection with a shooting that left a man seriously hurt on Friday morning.
According to police, officers were called to the 10 block of Sturby Place, in the city’s Eastview neighbourhood, shortly before 5 a.m. where they found the victim, an adult man, suffering a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital with injuries police said were serious, but not considered life threatening.

On Monday, police announced that the investigation had concluded.
“Through investigation, police have charged a 15-year-old male youth with Aggravated Assault, Discharging a Firearm in a Reckless Manner, Assault with a Weapon and Mischief Under $5000,” the police force said in a statement issued on Monday.
“He was scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on June 19, 2026.”
The teen cannot be named publicly due to provisions of Canada’s Youth Criminal Justice Act.
