Traffic restrictions near Market Mall, in Saskatoon’s Eastview neighbourhood, have been lifted as police continue to investigate an early morning shooting.
According to police, officers were called to the 10 block of Sturby Place at around 4:45 a.m. where they found the victim, an adult man, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police said the man’s injuries were serious, but were not believed to be life-threatening. He was transported to hospital for treatment.
While the victim was found on Sturby Place, police said the traffic restrictions were put in place “in the area of Louise Street and McEown Avenue,” adjacent to Market Mall. Those restrictions were lifted shortly before 11 a.m.
Police tape was also seen at a home on Sturby Place on Thursday morning.
“Saskatoon Police are continuing to investigate,” the police force noted.
