Police in Saskatoon say a man was beaten with a baton and what appeared to be a BB gun during a mugging on 22nd Street West on Tuesday evening.
According to police, officers were called to St. Paul’s Hospital at around 7:30 p.m., after the 18-year-old man arrived at the hospital seeking treatment for his injuries.

“The male told officers that approximately 2-3 hours earlier he had been walking in the 2100 block of 22nd Street West when he was approached by two unknown males,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement.
“The suspects demanded his bag and when he didn’t immediately hand it over, he was beaten with a baton and what was reported to be a BB gun. The suspects eventually fled with the bag.”
Police said the first suspect was between 20 and 30 years old, with short, black hair.
“He was not wearing a shirt and is heavily tattooed with the word ‘gang’ on both forearms,” police said. “He was wearing red Nike Tech pants, white Nike Air Force 1 shoes and a gold chain.”
The second suspect, police said, was also between 20 and 30 years old, and also had short, black hair. He was wearing a green shirt, black pants, a brown hat and black Nike high-top sneakers with a gold logo on the side, and had “Rose” tattooed on the side of his neck, police said.
Anyone with information on the alleged robbery was asked to contact police or make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers.
