Police in Sasktoon arrested three people after a pair of bear sprayings and a robbery on Monday and Tuesday.
The first incident saw officers called to 22nd Street West shortly after 7 p.m. on Monday after getting a report that a man sprayed bear spray at three people before fleeing on a bike.

“Responding officers located a man matching the suspect description in the 100 block of Avenue Q South where he was arrested without further incident,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement.
“A search of the man’s backpack resulted in officers locating a can of bear spray.”
Police said the 31-year-old man is now facing charges including possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and breaching court-imposed conditions.
The victims of the alleged incident were not located by the officers, police noted.
About 15 minutes later, officers were called to a robbery in progress at a business on 33rd Street West.
“Call information outlined that a man had robbed the business with a knife,” the police force said.
“While responding, officers were receiving updates on the suspect’s location and a man matching the description was eventually located walking through a park in the 1300 block of Faulkner Crescent. Officers arrested the man without further incident.”
Police said the 18-year-old suspect was carrying a knife and merchandise believed to be from the business at the time of his arrest. He’s now facing charges of robbery and carrying a weapon for the purpose of an offence.
At about 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, officers were called to the area around 20th Street West and Avenue H South after getting a report that a male suspect armed with bear spray had assaulted a person and demanded cash.
“Officers quickly located the victim at Avenue I South and 20th Street West who did not report any physical injuries to police,” police said.
“Officers learned the suspect approached the victim, demanded money, and discharged bear spray towards the victim before a short altercation occurred and the suspect fled the scene.”
Police said a 17-year-old boy matching the description of the suspect was arrested soon after, and he was found to be carrying a can of bear spray. He’s now facing charges of robbery, carrying a concealed weapon and breaching court-imposed conditions.
