Some residents of Saskatoon’s east side will be dealing with a drop in water pressure over the coming weeks due to construction in the area.
The city said its work to upgrade the primary water main on Acadia Drive will start on Monday, and east-side residents will notice a drop in water pressure for about five weeks after construction begins.

“Water service will stay safe and reliable throughout the work,” the city noted in a statement.
“The water pressure is not expected to drop below 40 pounds per square inch, which is still suitable for everyday use like showering, running appliances and washing dishes.”
Water pressure will drop by about 40 per cent in Brevoort Park, College Park, Wildwood and Lakeview, while residents of Rosewood, Lakewood Suburban Centre, Briarwood, Greystone Heights, Eastview and College Park East will see a drop of around 30 per cent.
Water outages are not expected during the construction.
This project is needed to deliver long-term water quality and reliability,” the city said, while thanking residents for their patience and co-operation.
“Residents are asked to limit use of sprinkler systems during this period,” the city added.
