An 18-year-old man was hurt in an alleged hit-and-run collision early on Wednesday morning, following an altercation in a parking lot.
According to the Saskatoon Police Service, officers were called to a parking lot in the 100 block of Nelson Road just after midnight, where they found the seriously injured man, along with a large group of youths.

That block is home to Centennial Collegiate, the Saskatoon Soccer Centre and the Alice Turner Library.
Police said the injured man was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
“Witnesses reported that the male had been on foot in the parking lot when an altercation occurred and a vehicle struck him,” the police force said in a statement.
“The vehicle then left the scene, however a short time later the driver of the vehicle contacted officers and was taken into custody.”
Charges are pending, police said, and the incident is under investigation by the Saskatoon police Collision Analyst Unit.
