The robbers went directly into the mall’s Jewels location, where police said they smashed several display cases and stole merchandise before taking off in a vehicle.
Police asked anyone with information about the robbery, or video evidence, to contact them.
On Tuesday, police announced that two people – a man and a woman – were arrested in connection with the robbery, and both are now facing charges.
“As a result, a 36-year-old man has been charged with possession of property over $5000 used in an offence and possession of property over $5000 obtained in an offence while a 35-year-old woman has been charged with robbery and possession of property over $5000 used in an offence,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement.
The case remains under investigation, the police force noted.
