Saskatchewan RCMP officers are hoping to find the rightful owner of a collection of coins and jewelry seized by Mounties in Warman during an investigation in December of 2023.
“They may be someone’s souvenirs from their travels, part of someone’s prized collection, or even heirlooms passed down from generation to generation,” the police force said in a statement.

“Whatever they may be, they hold value to someone, and Warman RCMP is looking for help in getting these recovered items returned to their rightful owner.”
The collection, which was seized along with drug paraphernalia and other unspecified items, includes a number of coins from Canada and other nations, with some dating back as far as 1910. Also included is a gold pocket watch that appears to be an antique, an brooch in the shape of an insect and a variety of different rings.

According to the RCMP, officers believe the collection likely came from somewhere in central Saskatchewan, though previous efforts to track down the owner have not been successful. (Saskatchewan RCMP/Submitted)
“Some of the rings have an inscription on them, allowing us to confirm ownership when someone comes forward to claim them,” said Jason Teniuk, a staff sergeant with the Warman RCMP detachment.

“We all have possessions that mean a lot to us, and for someone, these items might hold that same significance,” Teniuk added.
“Please take a moment to look at the photos, and if you recognize anything, let us know.”
