“It’s been reported that multiple large trucks, or several repeat visits by one truck, would have been required to take the quantity of material reported as stolen,” the RCMP said in a statement.
The RCMP said investigators are looking for witnesses who might have seen suspicious activity in the area, and asked land owners in the area to check to see if any of the material has been dumped or stored on their property without their knowledge.
The Mounties also asked residents of the community southwest of Saskatoon to check home security or dash cameras for any suspicious activity “including any vehicles at this site along Highway 31.”
Anyone with information that could help the investigation was asked to contact the Rosetown RCMP detachment. Information can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers, the RCMP added.
