Both have been charged with robbery, possession of a weapon to commit a crime, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a prohibited weapon without a licence. They were also both found to be wanted on outstanding warrants.
The driver of the rideshare wasn’t charged, police said.
The case marks the second rideshare robbery in the city this week. On Monday, a rideshare driver was injured after he was attacked and robbed by a pair of women.
