8:30 – Peaceful protest is a right Canadians enjoy, but demonstrations are not always peaceful. Pro-Palestinian encampments on campuses in Canada and the United States have been posing problems for university students, faculty and police, with a McGill University encampment even being declared illegal because of alleged antisemitic behaviour by protesters. Evan is joined by professor and Indigenous governance advisor, Ken Coates, to discuss these encampment situations.

10:00 – Canada Health Infoway is reporting that Canadian nurses are spending valuable time during their shfits searching for patient information outside their own systems. This might mean a more connected healthcare system approach is needed. Waldo Beausejour, senior analyst for performance analytics with Canada Health Infoway joins Evan to talk about this health care shortcoming.
10:30 – Have paper straws been a mistake? A Saskatchewan Member of Parliament says they are and has introduced Bill C-380 to try and throw them out. MP for Saskatoon-University, Corey Tocher, joins Evan to share why paper straws suck, more than just their inability to withstand liquid.
11:00 – A new Saskatchewan-based television show has been picked up for national syndication. GO/NITRO has attracted guests from major sport organizations like Canada’s Olympic team, the CFL and NASCAR to put athletes to the test by challenging them to master an new sport. The show is also Saskatchewan-owned and Cory Carlick and Emily Fulford join Evan in studio to talk about the creation of GO/NITRO.
11:30 – With this new Saskatchewan-based sports show, it brings to mind how much skill and talent each elite athlete is required to have and develop specific to their sport.
