For the 30th time, artists are coming together to try and curb hunger in Saskatoon.
Tickets are on sale now for the 30th annual Artists Against Hunger Art Auction & Dinner, set for March 9 at TCU Place in support of the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre.
The event includes both live and silent auctions, where works donated by local artists will be sold to provide funds to support food security in the community.
“The event delivers an evening filled with beautiful works of art, a delicious meal, and great company,” the food bank said in a statement.
During a time when high inflation is putting the squeeze on many families, the food bank is relying on donations to continue to do its work.
“Donor support continues to be the driving factor behind SFBLC, allowing the non-profit to continue serving up to 23,000 individuals a month,” the statement said.
The food bank is also working to raise $12 million to move to a new central hub on Avenue P. So far, the campaign has raised more than 70 per cent of that total.
Tickets for the event can be purchased online.
