After a building under construction partially collapsed in Saskatoon’s Evergreen neighbourhood on Wednesday, two workers who were inside are in stable condition.
According to a spokesperson with the Baydo Group, the firm that owns the residential housing project, the workers were part of a crew installing slabs on the building on Horner Crescent during the collapse.
The spokesperson added that aside from a lot of cuts and bruises, the two workers were able to escape the incident without any broken bones.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Saskatoon Fire Department said a floor of the building collapsed.
“On arrival, fire crews were advised that all construction personnel were accounted for but needing rescue from upper storeys,” the fire department said.
“Initial information was that concrete slabs were being installed for flooring when it collapsed five storeys.”
The department said a firefighter paramedic rescued a person from the roof of the building just after 2:30 p.m.
