A 48-year-old man was seriously hurt in a stabbing in Saskatoon’s Mount Royal neighbourhood on Saturday afternoon.
According to police, officers were called to an address on Vancouver Avenue North for a report of an injured person. The victim was found at the scene with stab wounds, police said, and was taken to hospital by paramedics.
While police described his injuries as serious, the wounds were not believed to be life-threatening.

“Continued investigation found that an altercation had occurred inside the residence, leading to the victim being stabbed,” police said in a statement. “The suspect then fled the scene prior to police arrival.”
The stabbing is under investigation by the police service’s Serious Assault Unit.
