Murray Wood: The public has a right to know details when someone is killed by police
Imagine living in a country where police shoot and kill someone, then don't tell the public who it was. Well, that's wha...
For the second time in less than a week, a body was found in a Saskatoon park.
Police were called Peter Pond Park in the 200 block of Ottawa Avenue South just after 3 p.m. on Saturday. The caller stated that a deceased man was located under a tree.
Foul play is not believed to be a factor, police said, and the investigation has been turned over to the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service.
The death of the 52-year-old man follows another sudden death in a park near the Mayfair spray park on Jan 15.
That investigation has also been turned over to the coroner’s office.
