11:00 – At the end of October, the Saskatchewan government announced it is establishing a physician assistant training program in the province. While physician assistants are not independent practitioners, they are extenders and work with a degree of autonomy that allows for them to offer a broad range of medical services in Canada. Todd Bryant with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants in Saskatchewan joins Gormley to discuss what this means for the province’s physician shortage.
