8:30 – On Friday, the Government of Saskatchewan announced a five-year plan for mental health and addictions that will see nearly $50 million create 500 new treatment spaces across the province and a central intake system, allowing patients to refer themselves for mental health and addictions services. The province also announced $40 million homeless plan to increase public safety and beds for vulnerable people in Saskatchewan. Saskatchewan’s Minister of Health joins Gormley to delve further into Friday’s announcement and what it means for the province.

9:00 – On Sunday, Israel declared war after surprise attacks launched by Hamas fighters from Gaza. The attacks left about 1,000 people dead on the weekend. As the conflict between Israel and Palestine is heightened, Chris Alexander, former Minister of Citizenship and Immigration and resident Ambassador to Afghanistan, joins Gormley to discuss the situation.

12:00 – Many people in Saskatoon will know the name Pendygrasse from the road in the city of the same name. Named after Nevil Pendygrasse, one Saskatchewan man took it upon himself to find the grave of one of the first pioneer families to receive a plot of land in Saskatoon after buying a home connected to Pendygrasse’s history. Obert Friggstad joins Gormley to share the story of locating Pendygrasse’s grave and new developments in that journey.
