Saskatoon drivers received welcome news as the Circle Drive North Bridge fully re-opened in time for the morning commute Tuesday.
The city originally said the bridge would re-open Tuesday afternoon, but drivers told 650 CKOM the lane restrictions had already been removed by 7:00 a.m.
Construction on the six lane bridge began last February and was completed three weeks ahead of schedule according to the city.
The budget for the entire project was $10.5 million dollars. The project included new pavement, concrete barriers and improved drainage.
The city says these repairs should extend the bridge’s lifespan by several decades.
