Premier Scott Moe will visit the University of Saskatchewan campus Wednesday morning to make a “major announcement” for the future of post secondary education the government said in a release.
The government has not revealed many details about the 10:30 a.m. announcement, but Moe will be joined by representatives from Saskatchewan Polytechnic and the university.
The site for today’s announcement is a field adjacent to Preston Avenue and Innovation Boulevard. Saskatchewan Polytechnic told 650 CKOM back in March they have been investigating a location near Innovation Place for a new campus, but that no final decision had been made.
The school received $6-million in this year’s provincial budget to continue design and planning work on the new campus project.
