10:00 – Canada’s inflation rate hit a new high in February, with the consumer price index rising 5.7% from last year, the highest the increase has been since 1983. Groceries jumped by 7.4% and gas by 6.9%, while shelter costs are up 6.6%. Dr. Jason Childs is an economist at the University of Regina, and he joins Gormley to tell us about the causes for the massive jump, whether government action could help, and his outlook for the weeks ahead.

12:00 – Katelyn Cey is the director of Inspire Our Nation, a faith-based youth empowerment organization aiming to help young people overcome struggles and influence the world for positive change. More than 100 youths and youth leaders with the group are currently planning a free community event on Friday, March 18 to take place at Elim Church in Saskatoon, marking their first event since the pandemic began, and Cey joins Gormley to tell us about her work and the details of the youth event.
