8:30 – Part of the massive truck convoy to Ottawa leaves Balgonie around 8 a.m. this morning. The cross-country convoy is headed to Ottawa to protest the federal vaccine order for truck drivers. Chris Fraser is a truck driver who works out of Lloydminster. He has been in the industry for about 30 years and he’s part of the convoy. Fraser joins Gormley live from the road with an update.

Addictions and Mental Health Minister Everett Hindley has called for a broad approach to help tackle the issue, and helped launch a new public awareness campaign this week. 12:00 – Saskatchewan’s Ben Coakwell, who resides in Saskatoon, will be representing Team Canada at the Beijing Olympics next month, his third Olympic games. Coakwell will be serving as brakeman for the four-man men’s team, riding along with Justin Kripps, Cam Stones, and Ryan Sommer. Coakwell joins Gormley live from Germany to tell us about his upcoming trip to China and how he’s feeling in advance of the games.
