8:30 – Globe and Mail columnist John Ibbitson says he’d like to see Maxime Bernier’s controversial People’s Party of Canada finish this election with at least one seat in the House of Commons. While Ibbitson says he disagrees with the party’s politics, he argues the group represents the views of almost two million voters and the party ending the election with no seats in the House would be bad for a healthy democracy. While PPC supporters have been accused of bad behavior during the campaign, Ibbitson says Bernier was unfairly denied a place in the leader’s debate, which left his supporters looking for other ways to make themselves heard. Ibbitson joins Gormley to explain why he’d like to see a party he doesn’t support ending the election with seats.

According to Lawler, locations in Saskatchewan may end up with “hundreds of satellites that will be visible to the naked eye all night long,” and Prof. Lawler joins Gormley to tell us why it’s cause for concern in the sky-watching community.
