After being closed in 2020 due to COVID-19, the T.rex Discovery Centre in Eastend is to open Saturday.
The centre is the home of Scotty, the world’s largest Tyrannosaurus rex specimen. It also features a new Paleo Lab and other discoveries by Royal Saskatchewan Museum paleontologists.
“The T.rex Discovery Centre offers fantastic paleontological exhibits, programs and events and is home to our beloved Scotty,” Laura Ross, Saskatchewan’s minister of parks, culture and sport, said in a media release.
“I encourage the people of Saskatchewan to take the opportunity to check out Scotty and the rest of the Discovery Centre’s amazing offerings when it is once again safe for you and your families to do so.”
Visitors must wear masks, follow all signs and practise physical distancing. Only 30 people will be permitted inside the centre at a time.
The T.rex Discovery Centre in Eastend is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Labour Day. Admission is by donation.
